My entry forΒ fav.me/d7dsb4m I chose to do Dry Bones. Kinda messed up the jaw bones a bit and the hands aren't exactly flawless but I'm happy enough with it.Related content

I see them as cursed Koopa-troopas forbidden to rest because Bowser still wants them as his underlings, so they are forever doomed to walk the land as mindless skeletons whose only purpose is to take down who ever Bowser points them at.

They could be soldiers from the era of Bowser's dad, Morton Sr.

Never heard of him and as far as I know none of Bowser's family are named or have an identity.

All I have seen is a fans speculating that since there is a Morton Jr there must be a Morton Sr, nothing official.

I guess, can't have a Jr without a senior, hence Bowser Jr. Named after his dad.

Or it could have been a mistranslation that stuck because people liked the sound of Morton Jr. better than just Morton. Much like Bowser having a name change from King Koopa to Bowser because of something to do with translations and it stuck.

I know this conversation is a few days old, but I thought I'd let ya'll know that Morton Jr. is named after a songwriter named Morton Downey Jr, and that is why there is a Jr. at the end of his name.

Well considering there is Ludwig that makes sense and is pretty interesting, is that because when it went through translation for the English speakers it didn't quite work so English Nintendo gave them those names or did Miyamoto?

I believe that Miyamoto gave them those names, I haven't read anything that says otherwise, but don't quote me on that. All of the Koopalings are named after musicians, that much I do know. It's very interesting stuff.

Interesting and I guess pop culture and references in general often make their way into things especially games so it wouldn't surprise me if they were named after musicians by Miyamoto.
