Observant fans may notice there's something odd about Pierce in this one, and they'd be correct. This strip's original debut was met with fan criticism over Pierce's look. After reading possibly a hundred e-mails, all saying he looked too young, I decided that a revision to his character would need to be made. In all strips appearing after this, Pierce uses an updated style; his was the only character of the "version three" characters to undergo this change, and it was for the better.
