I've been listening to this song for the past hour www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVKU6X… and I just REALLY LOVE IT. I used to sing the original version of this a lot as a kid (because I had so much attitude that time lol) but when I heard this while watching a Far Cry 4 trailer I was just like... wow.
And as everyone who read my past few journals probably know I'm still in a bad mood, although not as bad as before. I've just felt so used and emotionally abused, not just this past year, but for a long time already.
So how's the best way to show that? Of course, Lya's the victim for this. Every time I've been exposed to any kind of abuse, I always brushed it off and rose above it. Nowadays it's not really the case, but this song just hits me hard. Lya's the ideal version of myself, so I felt like it was fitting to show it through her. Since I first created her, I've been writing so many pieces where she's experienced and been treated far worse than I have been, but she's still going strong-- Stronger now, really.
