First a pin up and know a butt tease, I'm on a roll.
I started reading House of Night back in Junior High and I am pretty much caught up with it except for Loved and Lost which are the Other World series so it doesn't count. I really enjoyed this series of books, from the main books to the novellas. The characters were relateable and enjoyable, lots of twist and turns, and yes I did shed some tears. The only thing that I didn't like was that the Vampirism was kinda lost when the Wicca side took over which is all fine but I liked where it was going in the first couple of books then we never heard about blood drinking for the rest of the series, for the most part.
Kalona (for those who don't know) was the Goddess Nyx's sworn warrior until he messed up and fell from her haven. He was then filled with darkness and did unspeakable things until they finally captured him under ground. Years later, the bad guy (which I cannot for spoilers) summoned him back to help take over the world. His character has a lot of development from there which I really liked and he quickly became one of my favorite characters in the book. And of course he is really hot....at least that is how the books portray him as.
