This is an experimental upload of my original Green Energy Is An Illusion deviation ( www.deviantart.com/piggies-go-… ).
There is a theory right now that if you upload a .png image (instead of a .jpg) with a single transparent layer of pixels around it, then DA won't create smaller versions of your image which are of low quality, but instead DA will apparently maintain the high quality of the original image in the smaller versions.
So I added that transparent pixel layer around this image, and am uploading it again to compare it to the original uploaded image to see if the theory is true.
This theory appears to be correct.

And I also think it's really sad that we have to do this with our images just to get them to appear well on an art website.
