Nicolette’s working hard on her way to becoming a pediatrician!She’s very passionate about her education and her work. She definitely has perfectionistic tendencies, and could be considered a borderline workaholic. Oftentimes Phoebe has to remind her to take breaks from her studies!
I’m really growing to love traditional art. It’s so fulfilling to craft a piece of artwork and actually hold it in your hands! I don’t even care about the little mistakes I made, I had so much fun!
It was so nice to draw what I wanted to and not worry about it being all perfect!

The little details on the desk, the pens especially, are a weird thing for me to focus on, but I just think that's such a nice touch for a hand-drawn piece -- considering how time consuming such things can be on their own. Great stuff, as always!

People love the background because BG's are almost non existent on DA.
Usually, not always, but most times you only see a character in front of some lightly shaded BG or a patterned BG. What you've created is a complete scene.
Whether you know it or not, you've completed a medium high angle scene in 2 point perspective.
Perspective is and can be difficult so most people don't even bother with it. But when you do and you do it right, you get a scene with depth. You get atmosphere and environment. I feel as if I'm peeking into this characters house at this precise moment of her studying.
You've done an admirable job on this and you should be proud of it. I think you should branch out into Manga if you haven't already.

Yeah, perspective can be a real challenge. But then again, it can also be fun! And it makes for a much more interesting piece of artwork.

It's interesting how soft the coloring in your watercolor pieces has been compared to your digital work.
Was that a conscious decision or just how things naturally happened in the process of making these?
