So the time has finally come..... the time to reveal the winners to my #savewoycontest !!!!

First place goes to:

I really really liked this art piece from the moment I laid eyes on it for many reasons. The first is purely that it's drawn really well and that the colour and lighting work very well to harmonize with each other corresponding with the background consisting of faded background characters which is just done in such a clever way. The night sky is also done beautifully with the pink and blue colour resembling the main characters set against a dark background that helps bring out how bright and cheerful our star characters are. (As well as representing the theme and setting of adventure). The faded drawings of side characters coupled with the quote at the top of the artwork really help represent what Wander over Yonder is really about. Which is the joy of adventure and helping the different people you meet throughout your adventure no matter who they may be. Overall I think this artwork is just amazing with the overall alluring feel of adventure and the warm, kind, nature of our best friend Wander!

This piece is truly amazing from the way the dragonflies dance around our pals to the general peaceful feel of the drawings. Uses of colour was also done very well with the scattered areas of pink and red contrasting to the dark night sky and overall cool tone. The lighting and gradients on Wander and friends work really well together and reflect the magical glow the lights around them are creating. (though I would've put the extra effort in to make the highlights move as well as the fireflies, but that's just getting a bit too nit-picky) Onto the subject matter, this drawing portrays the calm side of Wander over Yonder and the desperate friendship that Wander is trying to achieve with Lord Hater throughout the show. He looks absolutely adorable sleeping in his hat which he does often and the small details that Peepers took off this helmet and the flower garlands just bring the entire work together.

There's a lot that I love about this piece such as the unique style and general colourfulness (lol is that even a word?) of the composition (I especially loved the little pool of perfectly blended colour behind the #savewoy hashtag). It explores the colours of the rainbow and manages to make what should turn out to be a colourful mess into an amazing composition, though my one complaint would be to lighten up Slyvia a little more as her dark colour scheme contrasts too much with the rest of the warm coloured artwork bringing unnecessary attention. The composition of the work is also very well done in a circular fashion which is even mentioned in the character sheets that Wander and Sylvia's body shapes are designed to compliment each other in a Ying and Yang shape. It's also very cute how you decided to portray the little guy episode and Wander's expression coupled with his banjo is just too cute to ignore!!!

Okay so for those of you who don't know Disney has recently released the second season of the cutest most heart-warming show of all time! WANDER OVER YONDER! It features this little guy:

The animation is great, the story is so cute, and the characters are just FREAKING ADORABLE! Craig McCracken yes THE Crag McCracken that worked on things like the Powerpuff girls or Foster's home for Imaginary Friends originally pitched the show for three seasons, but the "HIGHER UPS" of Disney had decided to cancel the s
