I'm doing a concentration on Jellyfish so expect more jellyfishhhhh from me :3Scanners are weird; I don't really know how they work.

Personally, I'd call it "stinging" because they pierce you with little barb things (which do inject venom, but it's not quite the same as poisoning. I mean, if you get bitten by a snake, you don't say you were poisoned by one, even if the snake bite is venomous, you just say you were bitten by a snake).
After reading over this, I feel like a complete dick, but I can live with that.

Technically, the victim is still poisoned. It's just the method through which the poison is administered that differs.
