For the ShadowtrooperDragon competition.

A freighter as part of my fan-faction. It has a modular compartment under the 'chin', though rarely changed out. In this instance the compartment is designed for miners, other personnel and equipment, allowing them to hitch a ride on the freighter, reducing company costs and the need for a seperate ship to ferry personnel.
Large and versatile with robotic arms running the length of the ship on a track. The large 'flaps' have their own rigid arms, allowing them to be moved. Only there for protection when attaching cargo.
While a few are operated by the military, by far the largest fleet belongs to the Terrence & Hoove Mining Company.
Worst case scenario they can be turned into large missile ships, with the modular compartment changed out for a command and control centre and the cargo area used to house large missile batteries. Though point defence would be basically non-existent.
