Yeah, it could be impossible to take this shot without this technology.

Agreed. This technology is really amazing and digital is just beginning. I can't imagine what it will be like in even 10 years. You have a lot of really excellent work. Thanks for showing it.

In 10 years it could be 3D HDR, hehe. But I mean the true HDR, not tonemapped HDR. True HDR is much better than all the tonemapped images which we call HDR. True HDR cannot be display in our monitors in this time, so that's why we have to tonemap it and make just fake HDR files from it. But I read that there already are displays which can display even images with high dynamic range. But the devices are too expensive for normal people.
It is said that the difference between a normal LDR image or tonemapped HDR image and true HDR is like the difference between B/W television and color television. The images looks much more natural on that displays.
But I have never seen them. I just read about it.

This is the first I have heard of it myself. 3D is a truly hot topic everywhere now, but 3D HDR would really be amazing. I hope we can at least see this technology in action soon. It is something to really look forward to.
Although to change to a new system of monitors it will be expensive and take time for the manufacturing infrastructure to develop. With the world economic situation being a bit stagnant perhaps it would be a good thing. It could stimulate economies. I guess we can only wait and hope for the best.

Absolutely stunning! I thought this was an oil painting at first! What kind of building was this before it was abandoned? I love how old it is even the bricks are worn and starting to turn white.
