Description One of the Araripe ornithocheiroids, described as Tropeognathus mesembrinus. It was interesting to do a toothed pterosaur lacking a beak. Instead, I went with a more croc-style texture of wide, hard scales covering the snout, including the very long front tooth arcade that leaves deep grooves in the animal's skull.

Ref courtesy of Mike Hanson .

Thanks for the snout texture go out to Tomozaurus and Matt Martyniuk .

Is that part of the inside of the mouth visible?

Chunks of the palate and stuff, I guess. According to other reconstructions, yes.

Awesome! But isn't Tropeognathus a junior synonym for Ornithoceirus?

Depends on who you're asking.

I'm still not 100% sold on this, but let's see. More pterosaury stuff probably coming your way.
