Description Not sure if the translation is right, if someone knows let me know...

This is my first attempt at a space scene. I like how it came out, especially the one on the left. I like how it came out but I know there's room for improvement so let me know what you think...

Inspired by the work of ~missie-mandelbrot

Enjoy...

Sorry for being so late in commenting on this spectacular space scene. I really love the background and agree with Kat about the sense of mass your spheres have.

Love the muted, sublety of the planets & tones...in a galaxy far, far away...

I like your space scene! The textures, the colors, the background...everything works convincingly for me. The spheres are beautifully rounded and even give a sense of mass and the very slight haze helps with the feel of distance. Very nice work!

BTW, were you going for 'three stars' in Spanish? Babel fish says it's 'tres estrellas' in Spanish. If it was something else, I'm at a loss.

Thank you very much. I think that the texture and overall quality of the largest one came out the best. The haze was causing some issues as well. I really wanted a light source to be seen but I couldn't make it look right. The haze is what the light source was supposed to be. I think it works though cause it brought out the colors in the background. That's just me...

I guess I should have said what language it was supposed to be in . It's supposed to be Greek. I tried to do it through Babelfish but it was giving me all these characters and I didn't know what they were lol. So I kinda pieced it together by looking up the definitions and looking for the roots. This is what I came up with...

I guess that's what I get for trying to be creative...

I think the haze works for a number of reasons and it looks right. If nothing else, you can always say that it's cosmic dust.

I'm sure you know that Greek is a phonetic languge, like Arabic. There's no English spelling you're going to find in Babelfish. But the definition is clear if one knows Greek and/or Latin roots. It worked just fine as far as I'm concerned.

Cosmic dust.....I like it, might actually have to make something that really does look like dust....

Ok, there's a back story as to why I wanted to use Greek. In case you didn't know, I'm a Harry Potter freak, or as my friend likes to say "enthusiast", but anyway....I'm reading the 5th book for the third time and I was noticing the different words she has for the spells in the book. For example, one word is "occlumency." It's a practice of blocking someone from your mind. I kinda understood where she got that from, from stuff I've learned in school. Occlude means to block or blockage. Ok, long story short (too late), I wanted to do the same thing. I tried looking up Latin and Greek roots but I wasn't getting very far and I was being lazy so I did the next best thing. If it's wrong, oh well . But I think it's pretty and if I'm not mistaken I think it might rhyme....

Like I said, it works just fine as far as I'm concerned! I knew exactly what you meant.
