Hey, they were locked in a tower - making crank calls probably kept them entertained.This picture started out as something else - it ended up as this. I was going to just chuck it, but liked it, so here it is.
At least it gave me some practice on drawing them in something besides the traditional standing poses.

Yakko: (creepy voice) I can see you, Mr Plotz...
I'm always watching... alwaaaaaays....
Plotz: (panicked) Leave me alone! For the love of God, leave me alone!
I thought of that crank call scene from Friends and I couldn't resist! XD

Yakko: Yeah, uh, this is Mr. Lemonlemonlemon I'm with the Cheese Company.
Mr. Oldman: The Cheese Company? Who do you want to talk to, Mr. Lemony-luminy-luminy?
Wakko: Uh, sir, what time can we drop some cheese by your house?
Mr. Oldman: Cheese? But I didn't order any cheese!
Yakko: Sir, what color socks are you wearing?
Mr. Oldman: There a lovely blue, but what happened to our discussion about the cheeses?
Wakko: Sir, there's a bug on your shoulder!
Mr. Oldman: A bug?!?!?! (hits his shoulder with the phone) Ahhh!!! Ahhh!!! Alright.
Yakko: Sir, what time do you want your cheese delivered?
Mr. Oldman: I tell ya I didn't order any cheese! You have the wrong number!
Wakko: Uh, sir, can I borrow your car?
Mr. Oldman: My car? What happened to our discussion about the socks and the cheeses and items?
Yakko & Wakko: DUCK!!!
Mr. Oldman: AHHH!!! (Ducks as Yakko & Wakko are giggling to themselves, then he gets up) Alright, I ducked, but what was I trying to avoid?
Yakko: May I help you?
Mr. Oldman: You called me! You have the wrong number!
Wakko: Please hold for three hours.
Mr. Oldman: Hold for three hours? I-- alright. (He waits as Yakko & Wakko are still giggling to themselves) You have the wrong number! (Yakko & Wakko mock him) Hello? You have the wrong number! There's nothing right about it! The digits you dialed are inaccurate! I can't feel my feet! Hello? I'm damp and cold! You have the wrong number! The number's wrong!

I saw something like this in the old Animaniacs comics. The kids met Alexander Gram Bell, whom we all know as the inventor of the telephone, and made a mockery of his invention by prank calling him lol.

Yes, I read it. They also sent out for pizza. But they made so many prank calls that Mr. Bell threw the Warners out into the street ! The End.
Mr. Bell also invented television, but when he saw Pinky & the Brain on it, he scrapped the invention saying "the world is not ready for this yet !"

They also took other extreme liberties with history, such as turning Cleopatra's castle into a Hyatt Hotel with customers checking in. They then dissauded her from killing herself by having her join Caesar (who found his niche as a salad maker) in the restuarant business.
Not to mention sending Wyatt Earp off to Hollywood !

I have all three of those issues LMAO. Have you read the one where they meet Issac Newton? The ending went over my head when I first read it, but after I learned what disco was, it was hilarious.

Pinbeak and I are enemies, and nothing I can say will placate him. Yet I am enjoying his FAMILY novel, the biography of the Warners. Go figure. Yet don't read too much at one sitting. Pinbeak gets into his characters' heads ...I am currently resting before reading further ...
I had read Animaniacs #2-4 then skipped a few issues,the very last one I got has Minerva recoiling from the idea of kissing Disney's Beast. The stories were too often preposterous, unlike the tv films and that was tiresome -and there was never a letter column...
"Wheel of Morality,turn,turn, turn

I'm slowly working on one with a background (it's them inside the tower). I'm taking my time with it - I don't want to do what I did with the other one and just overwhelm the picture.
