This would be sexier with a well placed light.
If you still have the .c4d, try opening it, adding in a light, then setting the Light to SoftShadows.
Position it well, and you'll have a great effect.
Try my c4d tutorials as well.

i already commented on it at gfxfreaks.com, but i figured i would say somethin here too.. it looks nice, but that big spot on the right kinda throws it off... other than that tho, nice job

Looks nice but I'd add a bit more colour in it. Really good for your first one!
You tryed adding a hypernurbs? It'll look smoother though but maybe the shape you had in mind will get ruined because of that. Good job on it..
