Honestly, the anime portrayed her very poorly. In the manga, she was a lot more hesitant, scared, and guilt-ridden. Ah... this girl just breaks my heart.

Speaking of Annie, people don't know that Marco overheard Reiner and Bertholdt talking about their secret identities.
Marco then flew off to another building, but Reiner caught him and forced Annie to remove his ODM. What I feel bad is that in the panel Reiner is saying " Do it Annie. Prove that you're a warrior. "
Sounds like pressure. The panel shows Annie to be scared. I honestly feel so bad for her. Many people just see her as cold hearted murder. When season 2 comes out I hope people see how much Annie is struggling.
