Sketch:

I had this one cued up for last week as a late Girls' Day celebration thing but ended up running our of time. Funnily enough, the reference I was drew this from was actually for a New Years celebration, but this kind of princess kimono seemed to fit for Girl's Day, too. It certainly brought to mind the final episode of Na-i-sho (which has to do with Girl's Day) more so than the usual New Years yukata for me.

As for the sketch, I didn't have to make significant fixes/changes while cleaning, but I still had to polish the symmetry and the layering was quite tedious. As you can see, I also didn't have the time to add in the flower and leaf patters I mapped out (but I think these types of kimonos are more about the layering of the colors anyway?) but that will be there when it comes time for full color. I also wasn't able to fill out the bottom of the dress that was cropped from the reference like I wanted... I tried, but I wasn't happy with any of my attempts, but I might still try to play with it a bit more before full color, too.
