I don't know why, but for some reason for kind of a while now I've wanted to draw Misty. (most likely because of Daimond and Pearl)At first, I was half tempted to turn this into Luchia (Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch) or, if I was going to draw Misty I was going to draw her in this fancy dress she breifly wore in the Pokemon Adventure manga (waaaaay better then the show currently, by the way) but then some of my fond memories of the older episodes came floating back to me and I remembered one of my favorite episodes of all time; The Misty Mermaid and I remembered how cute she looked in her mermaid costume.
This is actually from the poster they see in the beginning advertizing the underwater ballet, but I decided to draw it from that seeing as it felt a bit more "mature" and this is (hopefully) going in my colege sketchbook as my first "free drawing", so....
If I ever get around to doing more with this (though, don't hold you breath) I might want to try to add a bit of a background and color it, once I learn a bit more about shading.
Misty is (c).... good question..... Satoshi Tajari, Nintendo, GameFreak, 4Kids?(I think I've head they dropped the rights) and all other respective owners.

Uh... Pokemon? It was just a constume she wore breifly on two seperate ocasions. I liked it because the way her face was shadowed makes it less identifyable.

Awww. That brings back so many cherished memories of my happy childhood. I honestly don't remember her costume too well, but that looks about right. Heheheh. I really love how you did her tail-fin.
4kids doesn't have rights to Pokemon does it? o_o;;; I thought it was WB.

Oh, 4Kids had the rights at some time, at least. An old version of their logo is on ALL of the old VHSs I have. In fact, I think it might have been the very thing to put them "on the map" if you will. The most WB has is a copy of the rights or licence or something that gives(gave?) them permission to air the show.

Heh, that's ok. Itβs not like I'm really a Pokemon fan anymore either (basically, I got Pearl out of morbid curiosity in that I wanted to see how it would look/handle on the DS and if any of the new Pokemon were exceptionally cute.), but if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm a big sucker for nostalgia and had/have some fond memories of the older episodes. It's also another reason why I chose to draw this particular picture in that it's less identifiable.
Anyway, I'm glad you at least think it looks good.

Well, I just thought I'd let you know that there was a change in plans. So I'll be sticking around afterall, so that gives me a chance to get more work done on my re-write. But, I don't think you'll be seeing any updates in your deviations list, seeing as I just can't seem to get the hang of their submission protocolls. So I'll be posting them up in fan fiction.net, hopefully it'll be a little easier to post on there. Don' worry though I'll keep you updated on when I post up a new chapter and I'm using my same deviantart name: Chaotic-7 as my pen name so that way you don't have to worry about that either. So if you want yo can just look me up in the author list though I have to wait 2 days before posting up anything.Anyways HTHFYS.

Well, that's good news, I guess. I hope this change doesn't mean you're going to be inconvenianced as far as transportation goes, though.
And I'd be really careful around FanFiction.net.... I've heard that some people there are real jerks and that vast majority of the Sonic fanbase there consists of the people who write fics centering around unorigonal recolors and such... I suppose DevArt has its fair share of those, too, but still...

Sorry I couldn't get to it today, but I had class so I got home later the usual. But speaking of which, I talked to the Professor today and he was able to put some of my fears to rest... I've also got to belive that as long as I'm doing the work and getting it in on time, even if it's not outstanding, that I'll at least pass...

That's great! I'm glad to hear that you've decided to keep going. That's a true sign of streangth if you ask me. So yeah I'm so pshyced about what you and others have to say about my work. Though you'll probably be the first to read it but still... and therason why I put the mature content on was mainly due to language and some violence scenes (nothing to graphic though, but rather chaotic.) anyways HTHFYS.

Ah I'm not worried wether if you're the first or not. But yeah as for the language I did use ONE f-bomb, but as I said before I'm not going to be using it in every single sentance, just only when I feel that the situation calls for it. So please don't be mad at me if the language seems to get a little rough from time to time. *sigh* I suppose once isn't the end of the word, and I trust your judgement but if you ask me, there is almost no situation that truely 'calls for it'...
Anyway, a little bad language won't make me mad at you, parse, I still just don't think it adds much when it comes to a series/fanbase like this, even if you are shooting to make it seem a bit more mature. But like I said, I trust your judgement of when and how often to use such words, so I won't worry about it.

Thanks, and despite the harsh language I've got a good feeling that you'll be quite satisfied with the the story is going. Man the more I wait for feedback the more chills I get up my spine (but in a good way). Though it's kinda hard for me to get the word out about my story. It's not like I want to go up to someone on Deviantart and say "Hey you like Sonic fan-fiction? Then read my series." to me that just seems kinda rude...and desperate, but at the same time when you have a story that you feel has some true potential to be something great, it kinda gets a little frustrating when no one knows about it you know? But, as I had said before, even if it's just you who ends up reading it, I'd still be satisfied just knowing what someone else thinks about my work. (Besides my mom of course^^) But I suppoose that's what every fan fic writer has to endure from time to time. Anyways HTHFYS^_^.

Well.... I do have a message board for Sonic fans, dedicated to the three older cartoons (AoStH, SatAM and SU) so if you were to join you could do a little advertising there, though truth be told, I'm not sure how much good it will do seeing as the activity has dropped to almost zero lately since almost all of my formerly active members have just disappeared...
But I'm sure if you just give it some time others will see your work in the same way anyone sees anyone else's work here and who knows, you may even develop your own little following.

As for my project...I think its best if I just put it on Hiatus again until the summer, May at the earliest... classes and exercising are just eating up too much of my time for any truly recreational drawing. I won't let it die out entirely, though. I'll take this time to try and at least get down some more of the roles and find some referances of the characters I'm not as framiliar with.

Right, it's a good idea, like I said, but as you may already know too well, saying something and sticking to it are two completely different things. Not that that is a bad thing, it's just that life happens, you know? So again, don't feel too bad if you can't keep to your little schedule.
Anyway, I did finally get around to reading your first chapter ^^ You were absolutely right, despite the (tolerable) use of a little rough language, you've definitely set the stage for a story that has a lot of potential. This is the part where I wish I could go off into some big paragraph about how good it was, but again, it is only the first chapter. I will say, though, that so far you've managed to keep everyone very in character, it's a HUGE pet peeve of mine when people can't/don't. (Specifically, when they have, say, Sally running off with their fan character and dumping Sonic like a bad habit. Yes, peopleβs feelings can change, but COME ON!)

Oh, it might not be as wierd as you think. There are people out there who, as crazy as it sounds, think Sonic should be paired with Doucheba-I MEAN, Chris... and then there is that pathetic excuse for a Princess, Elise... and that obnoxious Sarah from the Movie/OVA/whatever-you-wanna-call-it, so the idea of a Mobian being paired with a human isn't as far-fetched as you might want to think.... be careful people don't get the wrong idea about them...

Yeah, rememember how you said how life just sometimes "happens" well it turns out that my copy of Word was just a trial run so I'm gonna have to put it on a slight hold until I can get the real deal. I tried using wordpad but it just didn't feel right. Don't worry though I should be able to pick up a copy of Word sometime this month. Ouch. I guess from now on, though, keep in mind that when you do download a program like that is most likely IS just a trial since it's a real real program (stuff like Photoshop in another prime example) and, sadly, an expencive one like that.
I totally understand what you mean about feeling more comfortable in Word after you've probably been using it for a while. Maybe you could still use wordpad though if something awesome for the series just pops into your head and you don't want to lose it. That way you'll have it and can go back to it and such whenever you want/need to.

Yeah my mom recomended that same idea with writing down new ideas with the series. but when I try to upload them from word pad somehow it comes out like a bunch of gobbly-goop. But probably has something to do with the text format that I'm saving to. But still I feel much better with word. I appoligize if I'm sounding like a caveman, I just got done moving out my neighbors like just now and I've been up since 4 a.m. so yeah. HTHFYS.

You just copy and paste them/it directly from the Wordpad document (as it's open and you're looking at it) when you have Word again, that way it shouldn't matter what format it's in it shouldn't matter. That, or just copy it from the Wordpad document to Word manualy, by retyping it. A bit more time-cosuming, yes, but again, you won't have any problems.
And I understand that you're more comfortable with Word, I am too, I was just trying to make a sugestion so your don't have to feel like you've "fallen behind" or anything while you're without Word.

Thanks I'll have to put that to use. Anyways I wanted to let you know that as the story progresses you might notice some slight simmilarties to certain movies and games (i.e. Fight Club, Max Payne, ect.) but I'm not trying to rip-off anything. I just like using cerain concepts that I feel would fit the story enviorment. For example: when Crash makes his first appearance in the series, he doesn't simply pop out of the blue and says "Well, here I am." No, I like the idea of showing him in his own (or in this case, my version of his own) enviorment. I'm just giving a highlight of what's to come by the way. Okay, so a few of the characters go to seek him out (Elias, Sally, Sonic and Wolfwood). Only to find out that they're in one of the seedy back alley fight clubs of Mobotropolis. Sally is both suprised and disgusted with the viscous bloodsport, Sonic's not too impressed by Crash's appearance only because his opponent is twice his size and believes that he doesn't stand a chance, Wolfwood is a little curios about Crash and what he can do, and Elias, whom knows Crash best assures them all that he'll be the victor. Anyways that's all I got on my mind right now.HTHFYS.

Well, truth be told, most of these similarities will probably just go right over my head anyway since I don't think I'm what you'd call a "movie buff" anyway 
Again, just be careful though, because their is a thin line between "respectable referance" and, as you put it, "ripping off". Take these concepts you like and put your own twist on them (like I'm sure you will.)

And yesh, I know what you mean about getting excited about something like writing an upcoming story when you haven't even finished the first. But really, I think that's the way to do it. Just keep the ideas that come to you for these upcoming stories under your hat and use them when the time comes and the writing will go faster and smoother.

Oh yeah, no problem there. I keep reahersing my favorite scenes in my head over and over. But I think the reason why I keep coming to Crash as an example is because I feel that he's a bit of a blank slate, so therefore I see quite a bit of potential in him as well as Elias but I'll save that for another story. Yeah pretty much. As for Elias, I'm not saying that he didn't have any character or personality to begin with. I just think that he's a cool guy use in certain situations. It's like... I don't know, there's just something about him (and no I'm not goin' all Yaoi on ya.) that I think he has, like a certain hidden untapped potentential. I geuss what I'm getting at is that I veiw him as more of an action hero than just a member of royalty. Dont' get me wrong I'm not saying that Sonic or Knux aren't already worthy of the title. I just feel that Elias should have his turn at kickin' ass. Anywho HTHFYS
