Decided to just upload this in the end coz it didn't turn out as well as I wanted LOL whatever
Sooooo this is Jason and Sammi bumping into each other for the first time in forever* and being all weird and awkward
Long story short:
They had an ongoing argument and drifted apart for a while during high school.
Sammi was mad that Jason was living in crazy-ass fantasy land wanting to be famous and failing all his classes.
Jason was mad that Sammi wasn't supportive, constantly gave him reality checks and wouldn't get off his case. Fun times 8DDD
This is vector lined and flat coloured so it looks like an animated TV show?? Yes. Let's go with that and not my procrastinating

omgggg i love the backstory to this already!! I love that they had a spat during their high school years because like, idk, it seems very realistic? There's definitely some people I knew irl I got into spats with during high school where I now look back on it like "why did i say/do any of that???" Which just makes you realize that everyone is kinda dumb and not fully mature during high/middle school 8''''D
But this came out so good!! I love the screenshot/comic vibe of it, especially with the crisp lineart and the flat coloring 8'D And the background!! I like how you can immediate tell where they are, and the repeating patterns of the rose tiling was a very good touch :''D And i like how you did the speech bubbles too!! I see too many times where people shove all the dialogue in a single speech bubble for each character and it drives me up the wall with how clunky it looks LOL. It looks so nicely clean and spaced out here. And i loovveee how different their profiles are tooΒ π They both have very distinct profiles and you can immediately tell who is who by just looking at their silhouettes aloneΒ π And the way Jason's hands and arms are drawn here is weirdly satisfying like,,, idk, it must be the angle of it or something, but the position of it looks really natural, especially with the way he's holding the phone :0
