Description
Unshō Ishizuka was known for voicing several characters in the Pokémon anime, including the two Professor Oaks, the narrator, Alder, Gurkinn, and various species (including Onix, Kingler, Muk, Koffing, Gyarados, Stunfisk, and Metagross). Outside of Pokémon, he was Gozaboro Kaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh!), old Joseph Joestar (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), and Van Hohenheim (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood). Additionally, he was involved in dubbing; he voiced Gantu (Lilo & Stitch), Big Daddy (Sing), Lex Luthor (Superman Returns), Prince Charming (Shrek 2 and 3), and Russ Cargill (The Simpsons Movie, DVD version). Plus Andrew Ryan (Bioshock Infinite), Captain Price (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3).

Ishizuka died before Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released. This makes Incineroar the only fighter whose actor is dead at the game’s release. Ishizuka recorded all his lines before his death, but they sound muffled and lower quality than in other languages. He has also joined the late Daisuke Gōri, the original actor of Mr. Hercule Satan (Dragon Ball Z) and Heihachi Mishima (Tekken) before him.
