Description Mr. Doug Lawrence not only voices Plankton (along with Larry the Lobster, Tom the "CHOCOLATE!" guy, and Fred the "My leg!" guy) in SpongeBob SquarePants, but he also writes episodes since Season 1's "Tea at the Treedome". Lawrence enjoys his character for his intelligence and ambition, and the voice he uses was actually originally for SpongeBob. The heroic tone of voice that SpongeBob takes up like in "Hall Monitor" and "Pressure" is an imitation of Lawrence. SpongeBob's actor Tom Kenny describes Plankton as "Squidward with more motivation".

Even though Lawrence does love his character, it doesn't stop him from contributing to "One Coarse Meal". Perhaps it's Plankton's way of manipulating the audience beyond the fourth wall. (Hmm...) I wouldn't be surprised if Plankton did write embarrassing stories about SpongeBob ("SpongeBob, You're Fired"), Squidward ("Squid Baby"), and others in-universe. Of course, he was teamed up with Casey Alexander and Zeus Cervas, who have quite a reputation even after they moved on from SpongeBob. I don't mind many of the episodes those three wrote, like "InSPONGEiac", "Face Freeze!", and "Squid Baby", though I do get why they're so loathed by fans, ex-fans, and rubber bath toys. Much like former writer Aaron Springer, Lawrence wrote good episodes in the past, like "SB-129", "Walking Small", "Opposite Day", "Life of Crime", and "Graveyard Shift". In Season 9B he takes a stab at writing on his own with the episode "Lame and Fortune"; it was a hilarious and clever episode.

SpongeBob SquarePants belongs to Stephen Hillenburg and Nickelodeon.

"Not another word about this. EVER."

"Kids. They grow up so fast."

So Plankton wrote an episode about himself trying to commit suicide

That wasn't the main focus of the episode!

But seriously, first of all, nice reference to Naughty Nautical Neighbors in the info! Secondly, I had no idea that Mr. Lawrence had a hand in Tea at the Treedome! In a way, that means Plankton ships SpongeBob and Sandy!

Thanks! Lawrence co-wrote "Naughty Nautical Neighbors" as well! That would be an interesting plot point...

Oh! Yeah, it would! (Hey, if you want, I can help you improve your drawings. Not that this is bad or anything, I just see you have some good potential to be an expert SpongeBob artist. I've been perfecting my art for years, but not to say that I'm an EXPEEEERRRRT- Huh, that's funny, someone turned the mountain upside down... *whole world gets turned 180°* oop, got a little carried away, huh? Anyway, I'm pretty far from expert status, but I'd like to help you as best as I can.)

That would be great. I've got plenty of SpongeBob artwork in my Gallery.

No wonder that episode stunk...

Plankton: Hey!

Well it did...

Plankton: *lifts a finger to say otherwise then puts it down, defeated* Yeah, you're right. Not one of my better ideas...
