But it's not a pairing at all XD Have you played XY ? You have to "heal" a zangoose to catch him because the seviper will kill him.Β

Personally, all I did to catch a Zangoose in Y was just bring my Arbok (she had Intimidate as her ability).
(Kinda ironic, though: My Zangoose got rescued from Seviper by another poisonous snake Pokemon.)

zangoose isn't that hard to catch, thunder wave then false swipe 'till 1hp(maybe intimidate if you can swing it)

It's not so easy if you find it in a horde battle. A whole bunch of Seviper will attack it.

Depending on the version, the other one can only be found in hordes. Also the amount of Seviper or Zangoose in the horde vary on the version too so killing off multiple Seviper before they kill off that one Zangoose can be easier said than done.

like I said, this is when intimidate comes in handy, mightyena and staraptor are solid for back and forth switching with moves like U-turn for staraptor (I don't know if Mighty has one or not)

This is like how it is in Pokemon X, but it is 4 Zangooses ganging up on one Seviper. It is a pain to catch it while these Zangooses just won't let up on the poor snake.

I know that feel... Zangoose and Seviper are more common depending on which version. Both do appear, however. But only in horde battles, but are the only ones to focus on killing the single member of their arch nemesis before focusing on you... if you wish for more things to be peaceful, then just add someone who happens to have Seviper/Zangoose their list of findable Pokemon on Friend Safari!
