I feel like sid would be a normal guy, the Sokka type, funny and inventive, and can kick ass with out bending. Stinky would def be earth tho. And I know harold would be fire but it would be fun to see him as air and sucking at it.

true.. water and air have many similar trates. but i feel like that wild side of his we see in earlyer seasons pushed him over for air. he does get a little watered down later tho.. pun inteneded.

I'm going to respectfully disagree: I would've put Helga as fire. She lacks the discipline and firmness and restraint. When you think earth, you think power, rigidity, simplicity; Helga is far too frivolous and high-strung. One thing I admired about Toph was her confidence and her self-awareness. Toph is Toph, she knows herself and she knows her limits, but has the firmness and determination to test them and expand her own boundaries. Helga has never been like that. She's not as tough or as determined as she lets on. Her anger isn't a tense but controlled earth. I see her as fire. She has that range from weak and flickering to uncontrollable and deadly, and everything in-between.
And I feel fire is especially fitting since you put Arnold as air (which is totally accurate, btw). Earth and air are opposites, but Helga and Arnold are not. They're different enough for balance and conflict, but still similar enough to relate to one-another and feed off of each-other. After all, fire can't exist without air.
That being said, this is an AWESOME picture. She looks totally BA. ;D

I would also like to respectfully disagree, although there are aspects of her self i can truly see as fire bender trates she's grounded, she has substance. She is stubborn rock like. To a point were really only few can move her. And just because a few can doesn't make her any less so of a rock. As for the lack restraint i believe you find that within each element, because there are different reasons we do or do not hold ourselves back. But i believe she has a strong disciplined of herself ( most of the time ) and thats all that matters. Helga faced much more fast reality, she's a dreamer but she's also a realist much like earth. Where arnold is an optimist much like an air bender. Although arnold could easily also be a water bender because of his nurturing aspects. I think what people tend to forget is in there own way everyone shares a part of each element in there personality, it is that balance that makes them human. And i believe Helga is very confident, or will at least grow to be one. Toph had her insecurities too, there all still growing Up. Emotions and there ability to fly off the handle are not just triad marked by fire benders. I believe that Helga will grow into a better earth bender. And her and arnold will complete each other in what they lack.
As a last point about what each element stands for, as was defined in the series.
Fire - Power
Earth- Substance
Water - Change
Air- Freedom

yeah i think so too. and i think if we asked helga she would say she is a fire bender, dealing with that kind of raw fire. I think she would be great at it but deep down in my opinion shes earth. I think it would be fun to do the whole gang. ^^ thought that is a lot of work on my part.
