Well, here's a little cartoon Hector's Dolphin, the smallest dolphin speicies in the world and one of the rarest. (It's close cousin the Maui's Dolphin is the rarest.) Enjoy.Related content

Well, according the the WWF website there are about 7,000 Hector's!

There are about 3,000 Hector's Dolphins left and 100 Maui's Dolphins. It's very likely at this point that the Maui's will become extinct within the next fifty years or so.

Whoa....... whoa!! Are any of those Maui dolphins in captivity?? Why are they so rare? Are they hunted or easy prey for predators?? WHAT IS IT?? But I hope we don't lose another species.
