Description This is for all the people who are "different" and are still looking for their own place in the world.

Made from 5 different stock images cut and manipulated together. It rather turned out smooth.

Stocks; Stock Exchange, ~OnlyGotOne for his awesome cloud images.

Yes, i agree, aliens should be human and black white. Animals should strive to be more human, and humans should not have sex until they want to have an infant in the suburbs. What an icky message.

It was made to imply that everything should be made "normal".

There are people out there who feel like their unique characteristics alienate them from everyone else. There is still racism in the world, no? young children who pick other children for being different, adults who shun those who dress differently or have different customs. The piece was for me to look into their eyes and try to feel how it would be like to be looking for a place where they can be accepted and loved as they are.

Of course, there can be subjective interpretations on how the piece sends out its message. I find my own way, and I respect yours. It's just mine is completely different.

I like this concept. The windmill and the wrinkles in the image itself appeal to me the most. But I'm strange like that.

I responded to it at EC, but still. I like it quite a bit, theres a few subtle effects that add on to it a lot, and the colors are fantastic.

DyceIBG [2006-07-24 01:17:19 +0000 UTC]

this looks very good. If you get a chance, could you tell me how you do your textures?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

pinkly In reply to DyceIBG [2006-07-24 05:47:26 +0000 UTC]

I just grab the cardboard texture (I think it should be in the stocktures 2 pack) and I slap it on however it looks nice. Then I grab some spill brushes and put them on but VERY lightly. The brush was probably only on 10-20% opacity.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

DyceIBG In reply to pinkly [2006-07-24 07:07:42 +0000 UTC]

so it's just using the texture filter?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

pinkly In reply to DyceIBG [2006-07-24 15:56:07 +0000 UTC]

nooooooooo

I did exactly what I said. I grabbed a texture from my site (I creditted my textures to my site in my description)

teaberry [2006-07-23 18:40:01 +0000 UTC]

It looks quite good. Don Quixote reference, or is it just me?

The only thing that looks a little off to me is the person's head--it's a little too big for the body (and, if I'm not mistaken, it's a male head on a female body, though maybe you were going for that).

But it's a nicely down manip, and I like your use of font and texture. Good job!

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

pinkly In reply to teaberry [2006-07-23 18:41:39 +0000 UTC]

supposed to be a transvestite.

But I do agree the head might be a tad big. I'll probably have to fix that.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

teaberry In reply to pinkly [2006-07-23 18:59:37 +0000 UTC]

I kind of figured that (the male head) was intentional, because it was pretty obvious. Just wanted to make sure
