IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: I WILL NOT RELEASE THIS MODEL PUBLICALLY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, THE POINT OF THIS IMAGE IS NOT TO BOAST ABOUT MY MODEL SKILLS, BUT TO DISPLAY A CHARACTER I HAVE BEEN WRITING FOR SOME TIME NOW. Before I get to the bios, I want to explain how this works. In my fanon, there was a lopside of designs with the older female Octolings, and the newer, smaller boy or girl ones that exist. In the testfire way back in March of 2017, they put in beta hair models for the Octolings, one of which is the model you see in the picture, which I am using for a custom design to get as close to canon as what the original 'boy' Octolings would look like, hence matching up with the older female ones, who I do not wish to change for several reasons, most of which involve consistency and continuity (along with simply preference).

The original model itself has no rigging (no bones beyond the 'root'), the texture UVs are a bit wonky (I had to manually edit this in blender) and is extremely unfinished (I used an edited version of Fission's texture and vmt for this). I asked FissionMetroid101 if he was planning to do ANYTHING with this model, as if he did, I wouldn't have released this picture or 'ported' the model myself. Turns out, clearly, he's not going to, so I went and did this myself.

This template will be what I use for future older boy Octolings, of which there are quite a few. The eye texture is edited by myself from a pack of eyelashes and is based off of the beta testfire playermodels (of which had no connected mask, and no eyelashes, and looked very much like the picture) and to keep in common with the older female ones, have their ears tucked in.

That is EVERYTHING about this model I can possibly describe.

The point of this picture however is to describe to you a character I have been writing for months, not to boast how I made the model. Every other bio I have released corresponds with this. Do not under any circumstance use Timothy and Martime here to scapegoat your problems with porting and the community. There are plenty of things I'm working on myself, and not all of that is going to be kept to myself. I hope I make this clear.

How did I come up: Above is already how I decided upon the appearances of the male Octolings in general (while trying to stay close to canon as I possibly can), but in terms of his colour, gear and personality, this will be explained here. Arie, the female Octoling who has now basically become a pop star of Octolings in terms of status, I wondered what would happen if she received a gender-bent version of herself. Thus Timothy became a thing. Tim wasn't really based on much, except veeery loosely the Splat Tim thing, in terms of his personality as well. He was meant to be annoying since he was designed from the start to have a crush on Arie, and she would decline and act surprised at it (since she lives with Eric and loves him). As the story progressed, he became closer to Lavvie, and the other boy, Martime. He never really had a gear set, until I started posing him in Source, and he had the set seen above.

His story: He discovered Arie in records a long time ago. However, during Splatoon 2's Octo Canyon events, all he was doing was research along with Martime. When Octavio was defeated however, Lavvie started to change, and she became their commander. She asked them to watch the Splatfests with her, and the three got more and more closer while Lavvie was figuring out what they should do. When she found out what happened to Arie in the past, she came to them to tell them that they need to help themselves get out of there. So they agreed, gathering up their friends (Martime warned Locke and Levi, who ran to the surface easily, Timothy gathered Takin and Occo, who stayed with them), and travelling to some place deep underground.

They stayed there a long time, Timothy growing more and more scared, the boys just wanting to leave (while Lavvie wanted to know what this place was all about). They encountered some other Octolings, Pertini and Sweltz, and later left but then regrouped with Lavvie and Ocelina, who'd come down to save her.

They travelled the Metro together, and saw some insane things, almost dying in the process, but soon reached the surface, and Timothy now lives there peacefully with Martime.
