I like the 'block gradient' progressing from black to red hues.
The norm is to progress from colour to lack of colour (black) -I think this is what makes this whole project stand out.

Thank you so much for the in-depth thoughts and compliment! The beauty of lighted papercutting is often the unpredictability of light and how it can create colors on its own. It's so fun to think in layers when doing sketches before starting the cutting.
