I hate drawing him but I did it. He has such exaggerated expressions and I suppose it’s good practice XD. And this means the rulers of pride rock diagram is now complete! I will upload it soon! But now on to the story of Scar!

Born as Taka, the second son of Ahadi and Uru, he was plagued with ill health shortly after his birth, but thanks to the healers, the little cub survived though evidence of his unfortunate health would limit his physical ability for a time and caused him to be smaller and more slender than typical males. But what Taka lacked in physical strength he made up for with his brilliance and mental capacity. From a young age he shocked the pride for his supposed maturity and ability to retain knowledge and figure out solutions to complex situations. However, being the youngest cub in the pride for quite a while made him a little spoiled among the lionesses who adored him, especially by Uru who loved her sons equally, but she saw Taka as her little miracle who had escaped the grips of death. Besides, Mufasa was much older than his little brother, having already started growing his mane by the time his brother was born. The whole pride loved Taka, but for reasons they could not understand, the sarcastic little red cub started growing into a bitter recluse. He started growing to fit his name meaning “to want”. For Taka, he began to see himself as superior to other lions. First, he was beloved by the pride as a young cub, which made him believe he was more important. Then, he realized his intelligence was greater than the other cubs, finding their games and ideas to be dumb and trivial. And then there was Mufasa. His “perfect” brother whom he had loved and looked up to. He didn’t understand why Mufasa was so special. Why did he get to be king and have the most important role in the kingdom? Why did being the oldest matter when he was not nearly as cunning or brilliant as Taka? He tried to shake these thoughts, but as he grew older, his desires began to twist and warp his mind. You see, Taka wasn’t an empathetic loving cub as he grew older, but rather became more entitled, narcissistic, and sociopathic. He loved being loved. And to him, not receiving the attention of his dear brother caused him to grow jealous and resent Mufasa. One day, Taka decided to challenge Mufasa’s authority in front of the pride and attacked him, fighting to take the title of king from his brother. But he underestimated Mufasa, he thought his brother would never hurt him, but he was wrong. Mufasa defeated his brother and left him with a scar that would come to define him, and serve as a reminder of his failure. The worse blow to Taka though was when Mufasa made him swear to be loyal and never try such a stunt again, or else he would be banished from the Pridelands. And so, Scar promised through gritted teeth, loyalty to the king, while also making a promise to himself. One day, Mufasa would pay for this humiliation with his life. Because there was no lion who deserved the throne more than Scar. And he was willing to make friends out of his mortal enemies and cross lines that should never be crossed in order to be king.
