"Woah!" Syrus exclaimed, grabbing his best friend by whatever he could reach. "Drake! Check out that shooting star!""Yeah, it's awesome..." Drake stuttered, trying to keep his emotions in check. Syrus was touching his leg. Drake felt his face burn with a rosy blush.

I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. I figured I should start doing some art with my OCs from Protector Shoji to get me ready to start a real comic.
The two characters are Syrus Oconni and Drake Phern...you can read a bit about them in that silly OC meme on my main page. ^_^
This background pic depicts some scenery on Darcia --a small dwarf planet in the Ceres Line that is home to Kenciola Renard Academy (KenRen to those who attend). This planet is made habitable by large ecodomes. Night and day are dictated by the "rising" and "setting" of an artificial sky (which I hope I depicted well here....
). My OCs Shoji, Syrus, and Drake attend this school. This pic took me a couple weeks (on and off) worth of work....so be kind....
However, critique is always welcome.
The triangle grid for the geodesic dome was created by (after seeing me fail for the 6th or 7th time....
)The cloud brushes are not mine....I'm trying to remember where I picked them up and I'm not sure. If you happen to recognize them, please advise so I can give the creator some much deserved credit. ^_^
Here is a WIP pic of the 3D model I made of the school. I'll post pics of all 4 main buildings as soon as they are fully complete.

Everything I do lately seems to be very bright and colorful...lol! I need to start exploring a more natural pallet. ^_^ I'm glad that you think it gives off a nice atmosphere.

Ah I see what your characters were for now. This is very very nice PPR The background I've seen before and it was cool then but now seeing what its all for yeah its great. I love the artificial sky concept you have going. This is so vibrant and colorful it is just a pleasure to look at. This would make a great poster. Maybe you should enable it as a print. This would be a great collectable if say you made this a limited run poster, then Protector Shoji got popular. Things like that are the things that later become very valuable. I really like this.

I love giving you guys a glimpse in to how I do things. Plus, you guys are SO super-helpful! Comments on the WIPs really help me identify any errors prior to coloring the finished product. Constructive criticism and feedback are the best tool an artist can have!
