• Self-Sacrificing: Ramona has a strong tendency to put others needs above her own, even if it might negatively impact her in some way. She has a habit of trying to help or ‘fix’ almost everyone she meets (part of the reason why she chose to become a healer), even if they are not so open to her attempts. She considers it her “duty” almost, to mend the broken, care for the weak, and to shoulder the pain others might struggle with. Unfortunately, this is often a heavy burden, and though it’s something she enjoys to do, it isn’t always healthy, especially when she becomes too emotionally invested.

• Guilt-ridden/Regretful: Though joining Mhor has felt like a fresh start for her, some parts of her past are hard to forget. Struggling with guilt and regret, but unwilling to deal with the ramifications (and still in slight denial), Ramona has bottled everything deep within her. She chooses instead to keep herself busy, hoping if she holds it off long enough, it eventually won’t hurt as much to think about. It’s hard for her to open up about such things as a result.

• Gentle/Kind/Passive: Void of a single violent bone in her body, Ramona is a very gentle soul. She doesn’t have it in her to be cruel, and carries within her a very calming and comforting nature. Being so patient and caring makes it easy for other wolves to come to her with their problems. When it comes to violent altercations, Ramona would rather try to diffuse the situation through other means, and will only fight if it becomes absolutely necessary (though usually only long enough until she’s able to flee).

• Devoted/Passionate: Whether it be to her pack, her friends, or her duties, Ramona tries her best to remain faithful and loyal. After a terrible occurrence from her past, letting down those closest to her is one of her biggest fears, and so she works hard in order to ensure she’s always doing her utmost best. Making mistakes is not on the menu. When there’s something she believes in very deeply, Ramona becomes highly impassioned. She has a strong devotion and willingness to stick by her friends and pack as a result, and would never dream of letting them go through something alone, not when she can help in some way.

She constantly worries that she’s doing something wrong, and will often lose sleep at night because of it. Pre-Group History:

THE BEGINNING

Born in the Valdacarr pack as a single pup, Ramona would be her parent’s last hope at ever passing on their bloodline. Getting on in age, and having many failed litters before her, her parents were fiercely protective over their only daughter, rarely letting her out of their sights.

Around the same time as her birth, the alpha pair had had their own litter as well; a quadruple of healthy pups. One of which was named Sheehan.

Though she loved her parents dearly, and was even a little spoiled, young Ramona would often become overwhelmed with her mother and father's constant worry and protectiveness over her, and the lack of any siblings meant she had no one to share the burden with. She yearned for others of her own age to play with, and by luck, she would find that someone in Sheehan.

Despite having to sneak away from her parent’s clutches at times, Ramona quickly became enthralled with Sheehan’s kind and easy-going nature, and found herself enjoying his company above others. The pair became fast friends, and though her parents were adamant on keeping a close eye on her still, they were pleased that she had found companionship in one of the alpha’s pups. It was a friendship that only continued to strengthen with age, having even trained together as juveniles, and by the time they reached young adulthood, the pair were practically inseparable.

THE SPLIT

Their bond would soon be put to the test, however, when one day the alphas were struck down in a tragic accident, leaving behind their four heirs. The pack was immediately up in arms, arguing over who would be the rightful one to lead them. Ramona, of course, was very supportive of Sheehan, but as the third born, he did not have as much pull as his older brothers. In the end, no peaceful decision could be made, and so the pack gradually split into four…

It was hardly a decision to follow Sheehan, and so that’s exactly what she did. Though it pained her to leave behind her parents, who were much too old to travel, Ramona knew in her heart this is what she had to do. And so the pack of Salem was formed…

Things started off peaceful. Ramona was happy to be led under her dearest friend and confidant, and though she secretly yearned for more between them, she kept her feelings under wraps. She made more friends during this time, developing a strong bond with her fellow packmates, and for the first time in a long while, she finally felt what it was like to live without her parent’s constant influence and judgement over her decisions. Everything was going good, and for a decent while, it stayed that way...

But nothing can ever stay perfect forever.

THE DOWNFALL

It didn’t happen all at once. When an older male by the name of Hagar came to the pack seeking asylum, Salem graciously accepted him with open arms. He stayed there throughout the summer and most of winter, gaining trust and favor amongst his new packmates. Even Ramona was blinded by his charismatic nature, almost to the point of considering him a friend, naïve to the red flags.

When Sheehan went missing mysteriously, before the pack could even begin to process his disappearance, it was Hagar who was quick to announce his new rule. Flanked by his supporters, who he had been gathering throughout his stay in Salem, he took over the pack by force. The pack, though appalled by their new leader, was weak against his commands. Any disobedience was met with harsh punishment from Hagar’s lackeys, and so the pack of Salem soon fell into step. From there on, they would be known as ‘Druid’.

Ramona was horrified by the betrayal, heartbroken beyond measure. Sheehan had been her everything and now...now he was gone. Replaced by someone who took everything they had ever stood for and destroyed it. She could barely process what had happened, the pain nearly leaving her renderless. How was she to continue without him?

By miracle, her answers would soon be answered in the form of a blue male named Solazar. In the dead of night, he came to her with an idea; An idea of hope. A rebellion to take back what was rightfully theirs, to ensure that Sheehan’s pack would not go down in vain. Though at the time the two were not very close friends, Ramona could see a strong conviction and sincerity in his gaze, and so, inspired and filled with a newfound goal, Ramona accepted Solazar’s proposal; Together they would take back what was taken from them.

THE REBELLION

Gathering wolves for their cause proved to be slightly difficult....Most were frightened to go against Hagar, and for good reason. But Ramona and Sol knew they had to keep trying. Late nights would often find the pair discussing plans alone, and though she still ached for what she had lost, Ramona found comfort in the blue wolf. He was quickly becoming a beacon of hope for her, someone who gave her a reason to keep going. Through the bitter circumstances, the pair quickly bonded over their shared goal.

Though it took some time, their little rebellion slowly started to grow in numbers. Soon, they decided, it would be time to strike. Soon. Ramona held onto that word tightly, using it to ground her.

Soon, soon, soon.

THE BETRAYAL

But ‘soon’ came much quicker than anyone was prepared for. To this day Ramona still has no idea how Hagar discovered their plans, but she remembers vividly the chaos that quickly ensued afterward. Everything they had worked for, months of meticulous planning, was suddenly up in flames. Hagar’s followers descended upon the members of the rebellion in a flurry of fangs; they would either go through strict rehabilitation, or they would die. Some chose to fight, others chose to flee, and some gave in entirely. Ramona desperately attempted to reach Solazar, but amongst the havoc, she quickly lost sight of him. Running out of time, she, along with two others, fled into the trees, somehow managing to avoid pursuit as they narrowly escaped the territory.

For the days that followed, Ramona remained close by, hoping desperately beyond measure that Sol would soon find them. But he never came. Guilt-ridden for the lives that had been lost and full of despair at losing yet another friend, Ramona begged and begged her two companions to go back with her in an attempt to rescue him and others--but they refused, deeming it too risky. They didn’t even know if Solazar was still alive. Deep down, though it hurt to admit, she knew they were right.

Defeated, and with no other options, the small trio had no other choice but to leave. The rebellion had failed, and with it so too had her hope of ever seeing Solazar again.

THE DOMAIN

Months of travel soon found the trio going their separate ways. Alone for the first time in her life, Ramona was at a great loss, unsure what to do, or where to go. Everything she had ever held dear had been ripped from her grasp. And now she had nothing left.

Weak and slightly malnourished, one evening found Ramona encroaching upon another pack’s territory in a desperate attempt to find food, where she was quickly intercepted by a patrol. They introduced themselves as the Mhor pack, led by a female by the name of Rowena. To Ramona’s surprise, the patrol graciously took her in after seeing the poor state she was in, and it’s here that she began to learn of their culture and way of living.

As she recovered under their care, Ramona steadily began to grow more comfortable the longer she stayed, until eventually she was allowed a permanent spot.

Slowly, she’s begun to find hope again...if only she can hide from her grief and regrets long enough.
