Don't get me wrong, this is pretty good, I enjoy the soft colour in the background and the slightly messy mane (adds a bit of realism into a cartoony picture), but I feel that you're missing a few things, which can be worked upon and improved.
I feel like she is very stiff, which can be improved by some work on her pose.
Try sketching out some different poses before hand and see which one you like best. I also see that the proportions are just everywhere. Look at some references, or even trace a few bases (do not post traced art, just trace to get an idea) and form a central idea of what the body should look like, I just feel that she's a bit chubby.
I don't think that with your level of experience you should be trying realism, just stick with learning proportions, then move on to shading, then you combine all of your skills to advance into realistic art. The fur is very streaky and for the placement, I don't think we would be able to see the fur that clearly.
Overall, it is a nicely done piece, and I enjoy the light colours and cute look.
Continue to improve, and I will be watching for improvement, ciao!

Thanks for the critique! I think the weird proportions might just be my art style, which I suppose could be improved.

Wow XD I've usually been one of the older ones, since most of my friends have summer birthdays, well, at least my grade school friends. I have like 1 or 2 friends in high school and I know one is a few months older than me but idk the other ones XD

I lost all of my old friends because they were my girlfriend's friends, and when we broke up, she kind of, y'know, ruined my reputation with my friends. But oh well, I made new friends, sadly, they're all in ROTC and I'm not. X'D

Alrighty, here we go, Pinky. I really do like how you're trying new things here. Believe me, I like new stuff too! First off, the technique you used on the mane and tail is pretty cool, don't get me wrong. (I probably have an unhealthy obsession with messy hair, though. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="395" title=" (Lick)"/>) It's the fine details in them that almost make it a little bit more real. At least, as real as a pink horse can get.
However, I have a few suggestions, if you don't mind. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a⦠" width="19" height="19" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="417" title="Sweating a little..."/> Although it could just be your art style, this plump Pinkie Pie looks particularly pumped. As in, she looks kinda jacked. XD I believe it's just the stubby, thick hooves and the small head that just creates the illusion, along with the buff chest.
The way you drew the coat colors can work. But, no offense, but it looks like she's made of pink straw. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="395" title=" (Lick)"/> I believe one way that can be done so that Pinkie doesn't look like a living straw statue is to make her look more "flat" if that makes sense. Try to minimize on the amount of strokes used to color, is what I'm trying to say. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="349" title="Aww"/>
If you want fluff, I think a good way to try and draw it is to have the brush strokes' hardness decreased, so that it looks more soft and less solid.
Sorry if I'm rambly. I hope this all helps. ^^

Hey there, sorry if I'm bothering you (and for stalking comments), but if you still haven't found an app on iPad that allows more than 3 layers, I would like to suggest ibisPaint X. It is very versatile, and can have many layers depending on the size of the canvas. It's also free on the app store. ^^
