Request forI hope you like it ^^ I've been practicing drawing guys. Please gimme some critique ;u;

p.s I can only draw guys with long hair...but need more practice with shorthaired guys ._.

Well, for starters the lineart is clean and simple very in order and your anatomy is very well done. The image and subject of the image is very clear to see and nice to look at. The colours are nice and complement eachother brilliantly, the skin colours are just stunning! It normally takes quite a while to master the right colours and make sure it's not to pale or tanned. (Please send me a note giving me a few Tips n' Tricks on that! ♥)
Shading is accurate and no problem at all! It is very well done and improves the performance of the picture awesomely! It is in the correct areas as well. One of my favorite parts of the shading is the hair and the ears done like a professional! Very well done, the detail is incredible. Stick to that type of shading if you want to keep the Realistic-Yet-Awesome Look. Bringing the subject back to the hair, don't worry about the length. It suits the male's figure nicely. (Again with the shading and Male Hair, please gimme a few Tips n' Tricks xD)
Background colours are nicely mixed, creating a sort of... How do you say it? Tribal Feel?
P.s. The chin is a little pointy in my opinion. (Nothing to worry about, just thought of mentioning it.) But no one even notices it. Sorry for ruining the critique.

About picking the right colors, I took a few months to master that >_< Here are my tips for picking the right colors:
- For skin tones I usually pick oranje-yellow/reddish colors for base (nearly white).
- To shade I pick 2-4 darker tones. Make sure these colors are not 'grey-ish' because that makes your drawing 'dull'. so pick more 'bright colors' (hopefully I explain this well xD)
- super tip (i discovered this till the end...): dont smudge/blur/blend the colors too much! only if its neccessary. so your drawing looks sharp and clean ^_^
Here are tips for shading male hair ~ to be honest I only started a few months ago studying anime guys xD (check my recent drawings >3< ) I'm not a pro yet heh :iconembarrased:
- Try to shade each strand of hair appart. This will make it look more detailed.
- Make the hairstrands overlap each other. This will create a messy, yet lifely look. Long haired guys usually have messy hair, which looks soo hot *drools* xD
I hope these tips will help you ^_^ About the background, I have no idea how I came up with that XD Totally random~
I usually draw older guys with a pointy chin but I will note that o.o
