Poster art for AniWay magazine I finished back in April. I'm happy to get my second piece featured My piece last year was:This time I picked purple as main colorscheme, because I use this color the least and thought to practise a bit. The character is my OC Mr Random, the gambler.
The setting is school/game because life is like a game. In the background I placed road signs, as one needs to make choices that lead to different paths. I don't remember
why I came up with such setting, but probably I was thinking about school at that moment. A lot of piled up work. Despite all of that Mr Random keeps his attitude.
The odds are in his favor. I noticed, and many people pointed out, that I barely draw characters smiling. In real life, I don't smile a lot too and it reflects in my work.
When working on this, I could't help but feel different for some reason
I often get questions about prints and other art merchandise. So far the only way to get my art physically is through collabration artbooks and magazines. I'm considering
to make prints/posters/artbook/charms if there is enough interest. I'll keep you updated!

I read all your explanations but about the upside down tables? Did Mr Random get angered to a point where he flip all those tables x'D
Anyway got lots of inspiration from you as always! I like how you went with the school theme because it's one the the important aspect of our lives and also because it takes all our free time to do homework and assignments

After flipping all tables in rage, he sits on top smiling satisfied. It would be interesting to see him in anger, so far I've only drawn gentle emotions.

I really like the detail in the hair on this one, all the different pieces and layers. My eyes keep getting drawn back to that point to look at the layers even more

Student life is over for me. I'm in horrible work life and everything feels like a gamble because I haven't had a job in 4 months and so far it's been nothing but disappointment after disappointment. Hoping to roll some lucky numbers like Mr Random :v

Looks like someone rolled a Yahtzee straight, I'd smile too with that luck XD and this more or less reminds me of high school as a whole. Prior to graduation we'd all but put the cards and the dice (much to our teacher's disturbance) and have a little fun here and there, betting chicken nuggets or something tangible so as to keep us from owing each other debts and all that.
I don't smile too much either these days, sure I smile for work, but those are fake smiles. I'm glad to hear it sounds like you were able to get a real smile while working on this. Those are the best kind, after all.
