Thanks for the feedback, it was a chance snapshot while I was sat on a bench, just sort of jumped out at me. It is a pity about the dark shadow, but it does have a nice feel to it, as you say.

I like this. Usually the square formatting makes it hard to compose an image, but you've done well here. The tone is incredibly dark, with all the colors getting a heavy wash of blacks and greys, but the light foreground and vertical layers add interest and depth to this image. There seems to be a good framing element on every side, but the tree shadow on the lower right is a bit heavy, leaving almost a 1/4 of the image dark. For a pastoral setting, it definitely gives us a feeling of calm open spaces, good weather, and a warm feeling. I like it!
