Wish i could do traditional abstract -my efforts with real paint and water always turn to mud

It was interesting using the artgraph graphite as a watercolor/ like painting w/ a water soluble graphite pencil only using water and a brush to paint... and mud as you suggested can develop into something different and abstract...

Nice... not what it was intended to represent... its all in the representation perception... thank you... in reality it was a reflections through a glass jar and its shadow as the afternoon sun set...

Interesting, and I see what you mean... thank you. But no its not an owl.... it not a mummy or ghoul... I was playing around w/ ArtGraf water base graphite, at work, during a break, late afternoon, an outline the shadows that reflected off and through my glass jar of water I used. It is an old jam jar w/ etched designs... common and it produced this 5x7 in. work. Simple and spontaneous can be fun. Thank you.. Once I took the picture, I played w/ the filters on my photo gallery program and a sepia tone, tint...
