Description
So this is a story that started when I made animal AU versions of some of my characters for the sake of being able to use them in collaborative animator projects. Originally, it was simply fragmented parts for backstory reasons but, the more I did, the more it started to develop until I came up with an actual plot.

It's sci-fi (with a few fantasy aspects), a genre I have never actually done before, but I really wanted to make a poster for it and I love how it came out; especially the city in the background.~

A lot of these characters are created for the purpose of the AU but there are some that are incarnations of others :3

Also, the story isn't in a dystopian world, but the fact that there's still corruption, violence, and the like, it does destroy what is generally assumed to be a utopia. (Thanks to the government & sometimes media hiding the truth about Enigma's existence and goal to save their own hides.)

On the planet of Sahiri (this universe's Earth), humans and animals co-exist in relative harmony as tech has since been created to allow communication between the two; the need to expand into wilderness has since been combated by access to planets in the solar system. Most of the areas where wildlife thrived in the past have been recreated or restored, and the atmosphere returned to how it was back in the early 1800's.

However, this is not a world of perfection; many still seek power and will use any means to acquire it, moral or not. Enigma is a syndicate that has taken to turning animals and sometimes even other humans into weapons through cybernetics; making them stronger, smarter...deadlier. These soldiers are trained and/or programmed to kill on command and without mercy. Many have tried to take this syndicate on but the fallen are simply turned against their former comrades, now under Enigma's control.

But, there is hope. An organization called Zephyr seeks to end Enigma's reign of terror, and is led by a girl by the name of Silver. Much like Enigma, Zephyr consists of animals and humans but their soldiers are enhanced on a more biological side of science as opposed to the cybernetic evolution of the enemy. Animals and humans alike are given the choice to have their genetics modified, giving them abilities that range from things like telekinesis, healing via touch, to even basic elemental manipulation. Of course, they do have mechanical tech of their own, though the method used by them is in the form of prosthetics as opposed to Enigma's cyborgs.
