I saw the DuckTales reboot premier, and it was actually pretty good. I don't think I've ever been this optimistic of a reboot to a show I used to watch before. Unlike the new Power Puff Girls, Teen Titans Go, and other cartoons that've been making a comeback, this show's shown it knows exactly what it is. It has a bit of a feel similar to shows like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe and Star Vs the Forces of Evil. It knows when to be wacky and funny and when to be serious, plus it shows that even though it will have serialized episodes, it will still follow along one story plot.

Also, being the first time Delia Duck (Donald's twin sister and the triplets' mother) will possibly be animated and not be just a character spoken about but never seen is a plus. Before, she was only talked about by other characters in shows/movies Huey, Dewy, and Louie are in or referenced at the very least, but she was never shown in anything except for old comics featuring them or Donald Duck.
Within the last seconds of the pilot for this reboot, Dewy saw a picture of Scrooge and Donald fighting pirates, and fixed a bent corner of it to reveal a duck with blond hair, fighting alongside them, and Dewy saying "Mom?" before the credits came on. It's also revealed that unlike in the original series, Donald and Scrooge aren't on good terms, and haven't been for about ten years, and scrooge owed Donald a favor. Maybe something happened that had to do with her disappearance? I mean, the only reason she was never shown before was because she was away, thus leaving the kids with Donald, but since he was Scrooge's sidekick ten years prior and they obviously had some sort of falling out, maybe something bad happened to her?
