It's Valentines Day and I couldn't decide what to draw so here's one of three of my favorite Sonic couples having to do with Sonic, Amy, and Sally!

So this quote comes from the Archie Comics's Sonic the Hedgehog run, specifically issue 222, one of my favorite issues. Amidst the fallout from the Journey to the East arc, Sonic and Sally rekindle their romance, unaware of a plot run by Geoffrey and Naugus that would uproot the Kingdom of Acorn on the horizon. Everything I love about this pairing is shown in this issue, from how Sonic wants to do his best to have the status quo between them revived after their break up (and the infamous slap) because at the end of the day they were best friends first and he misses just hanging out with her, to Sally's guard coming down to the point where readers see her worrying over how it'll go. We even see Amy show she's fine with them dating, they make each other happy and as long as Sonic's happy then she's happy, which was a breath of fresh air in the writing department for her at the time since it showed a level of maturity and growth in her (gotta love that sweet, sweet character development).

Honestly, I could go on about my favorite things from this issue, and it's definitely in the top five of my favorite issues from the Archie Sonic Comics that shows the characters when they aren't trying to save the world.
