I used here my new (acquired @ eBay) pentax FA 1.4/85mm...it is so different from all other lenses I've used in the past (in analogue times I used rather the pentax smc-m 2.8/100  for jobs like this), I've to get better acquainted with it

I payed 780€  for the lens, a lot, but I'm aware I can ALWAYS re-sell it for the same or even a higher price

And AF precision with such a fast lens at 1,4 for a full body portrait? I may get a slower and cheaper FA77 since as you did 1,4 is too thin

for portraits, AF precision is enough...I know all lenses may have issues with AF, and these from the 1990s are prime candidates for fine-tuning. As I wrote...a portrait showing every pore is too sharp. So, I won't bother much with AF precision when using this beast for girl's portraying
