This is Andy’s Sofix. Andy belongs to and this is my entry for her latest contest.

The wings I really like and I also really like the flower on her shoulder. Originally I was desiging a dress to come out of the flower but it just didn’t look right. I like the wings as the lower part of the wings mimic the skirt as I drew the skirt before I sketched out the wings. I don’t like the shoes but I can’t seem to do any better. The hair was a nightmare as was the 4th attempt at making a ponytail of some sort look believable. I know she’s a fairy but some things just have to look realistic – although its quite cartoony.

As you can tell I’m big on texture and experimenting with loads of geometrical shapes as shown in the wings and skirt. My style isn’t all these gems but I can appreciate the work that goes into those winx style wings. If anyone knows a good place to get photoshop gem brushes that would be helpful as then I could explore more in that area.

Base is by , I know it’s the believix form but sophix is apart of the believeix transformation.

So what do you think? Next time the artist’s description will be shorter.

p.s. thinking about doing her lovix as well as she is the fairy of love, what do you think???
