BASICALLY if you painted like you would traditionally (ie just layering colors up and gradually building the character out of the brushstrokes on the canvas from the sketch underneath) then thas painting. Whereas this thingy I made a bunch of solid vector shapes and locked them to shade so the edges all stayed crispidy

And that's awesome you'd say that cause that's where I definitely got inspired from! :,,,D I have a handful of the Finding Dory children's books to've come out since the movie- and the lineless textural look those works have was suuuuuuuuper appealing to me

I think I have seen a book or two on the movie in a store or something.
But I would still LOVE that Funko Pop of Hank and probably just other merchandise from the film.
Yeah, I could tell just by looking at it. lol

I have full intentions on going at least ONE more time next week while it's still in theaters, and I've already gone twice I cannot gush enough over how happy the character interactions and environments and such all make me. Plus the general vibe of the characters forming into one big friend family by the end just like with Lilo and Stitch or movies in a similar vein really hits home for me, on top of all the other cool messages it tackles ;v;

TRUETRUE textured brushes are really rad ;;DD BUT YOU USED IT SO GOOD TOO LIKE THe choice in colors and just the way they're laid out on the canvas(if that makes any sense) just goes together so well~

I DON'T BLAME YOU MAN I really wanna go see it again too!! AND YES IT'S JUST SO LIKE?? Wholesome and loving and WONDERFUL like, I don't mind movies that end in romance but movies that end in like friendship or family-like bonds are the LITERAL BEST
I THINK ONE THING I ESPECIALLY LOVED was just how?? good?? dory's parents were?? like in the begining where they excited said "Yes! Yes" and clapped their fins and dory got SO HAPPY i NEARLY DIED. And they're just so good an understanding and never got frustrated when dory forgot something just nnnYEs <3333

I managed to go see it again yesterday and that literal evening I wanted to go see it a 4th time, ;askdfhasjdfdjkf I've never had a film cause me to do that before. I think it's because on tOP of the really sweet story and characters, the setting is one of the few real world locations I absolutely adore going to- aquariums :,,,,,D So I just wanna get lost in the animation and explore all the little details and nuances they stuck into the different scenes throughout the ocean and the institute a;klsdhfjksdfhsjdfg

OH GOODNESS YESSSS aquariums and ocean settings are honestly THE BEST and all the little characters and sea life in the movie is just so GORGEOUS AND FUN i honestly couldn't find a character i didn't like. I just adored them ALL. HONESTLY THE MOVIE MADE ME THINK ABOUT this one aquarium I LOVED going to as a kid and the last time ivisited was about a year ago and it made me wanna go AGAIN because aquariums are SO GOOD YES. I ALSO REALLY LOVE THE OCEAN ITSELF TOO because it's so gorgeous?? Like in movies and games the ocean zones and locations are ALWAYS my favorite because of how gorgeous and detailed everything is. Honestly this has gotta be one of my all time favorite movies ;DD

thE LAST TIME IVE BEEN TO ONE Was probably all the way back in my Junior or Senior highschool year ;o; Which in retrospect doesnt feEL LIKE THAT LONG AGO
BUT At THE SAME TIME ITS BEEN OVER 4 YEARS NOW DIFSDJFHKSDFG

My family's hopefully planning to go to one again in the winter, so I've got my fingers crossed for that trip at the moment :,D
