Anyways this idea was milling around in my head ever since I heard the Shy Guy Falls track from MK8, anytime I tried to listen to it I just saw this image on repeat- so I figured I'd make it real :P
I might render a higher quality version of the vid later, but it should be okay for the time being xD

Glad that ya like it! xD I had a lot of fun with working on it, and I'm glad that I didn't just let it fall to the wayside of "unfinished ideas" that I have so many of
And I don't submit too much to my youtube account, but when I do I've always got links to them on the pictures they go with here! :> (and it's technically a side account that I use for uploading, as my regular account is just for adding vids to my favorites- and I've had it since the dawn of youtube itself x,DDD)
Aaaaand besides the obvious given the animation , my other "main" racers I go between are Toadette, Larry, and Lemmy. I tend to enjoy light-weight racers most since I prefer tight turns over speed :> And I'm always using the Yoshi bike with everybody, and go between Sponge or Cushion wheels based on the character- since they have the same stat effects with the light-weights I use, so it's only aesthetic xD

heh seriously though, i love that goofball, i usually just go light weight like you, sports bike, roller wheels, love to do those quick drifts and boost
i would experiment more with the other bikes and wheels(which i do sometimes when im just goofing around with cousins) but always end up doing the best online with that build, guess you can say its my preferred ....well that and i only play it when i visit my cousin(which is pretty average since he lives across the street and we are practically more like brothers then cousins, but dang it, i seriously need to get my own wii u!) XD

I used to love the roller wheels on MK7, but when I saw the cushion wheel's they were just too cute looking for me to resist ;o; AND they ended up working even better than the rollers! Same goes for the Yoshi Bike vs Sports, though actually... I think they both have the same stats. It's just the Yoshi Bike is way too cute how it sticks it's arms out as you make turns or fly around areas of track on your glider x,DDD

I really want to get after effects, because I really like editing videos and such, and isn't that what you used to make your big art biography video thing (which was pure awesome by the way ;-
Maybe I should just buy that whole adobe package man. What is it, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After effects?

Once you get the hang of it it's a very fun and intuitive program, for videos and animations! Cause Photoshop I just drew the 2 frames of the shy guys and the gem, and then I created the motion in AE
And sadly After Effects isn't part of the package I got, only reason I can use it is the cloud version is offered free with my college until I graduate. The particular pack that my grandpa had gotten me included Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (which I also think is really cool now- I'm thinking of maybe making digital storybooks with it sometime :>), and Flash. So they might have varied packages that include PS and AE together, but I'm not sure. I guess just look around to find out on their site!

So the 2 frames were just like - pickaxe up, pickaxe down, right? And then you move the pictures around in after effects? Cuz that's the impression I'm getting and also that rEALLY MAKES ME WANT TO HAVE THIS PROGRAM A;SLKDJFS
But dude. Why doesn't my school get cool stuff. I mean they have it on their computers, but we don't get to use a cloud version of anything... >:I Ah well. I like- pretty much never spend money so maybe I'll buy an expensive package of stuff woohoo!! I mean it's not like it would be on something stupid, it's for my major/what I love to do.
That is, if my wrist/hand/arm issue EVER gets better...
Like, my wrist bone (??) stopped HURTING now, but it still feels weird when I try to do stuff - like draw. OTL My hand gets sorta numb, and even in my arm (like up by my elbow!!). I think it might be related to spine / pinched nerve or something, possibly caused by bad posture. j;flsjkfjds It happens even when I haven't been using my wrist. But other times it's fine!!
I've been going to a chiropractor, but it's not helping yet... I have an appointment with a wrist doctor on Thursday. But I'm actually beginning to doubt the problem is in my wrist (or maybe the one that was healed - as I said it stopped hurting). But now I'm thinking it's a nerve issue.
SO YEAH
That's why I've posted like no art all summer.... I WANT TO DO ART SO BADLY ;ALSDJKFSLSF ;;;;A;;;;
I still have some stuff to post from college... guess I'll do that. But I'm running out of summer, and then in college I won't have much time to make my own stuff...! If I'm even better by then. v__v

That's pretty much right! The movement itself I created in AE, and then once it went through one loop to get back to the starting point, I copypasted the frames over and over til I got to the run time that the video was
I will warn that if you do get the program, you MUST save often, and when you render something you need to not have anything else open. As when I was rendering my final for the first time my laptop actually blue screened cause I tried interacting with a deviantart message at the same time 
Well it's only just today for me that my own wrists have "calmed down", I know they're hurt again eventually but it's taken nearly two weeks since they started to ache again, so coming from my perspective on the issue things will probably still feel weird for a bit! Just hang in there and hopefully on Thursday you'll get to figure some things out. :>
And considering it falls hand in hand with your major, if you can find an affordable package it is definitely a good investment! Especially since knowledge of these programs in the art world is a very important thing considering how much digital stuff gets put out nowadays. There's probably some sort of free trial for them that you can try out as well to get kind of acclimated with the programs (and if you want I can scan/share the notes I had taken for After Effects in particular and all the various quirks n' shortcuts)

Did you know that the Japanese name for the Shy Guy is Heihō (hā hō, "hey ho")? Heihō is a pun for hohei (歩兵, foot soldier). In fact, ever since Yoshi's Story, Shy Guys will often say, "Hey ho," especially in Mario spinoff games.
