After seeing this awesome rendition of Coconuts I thought it'd not only be fun to draw him, but to draw the other members of the SSSSS Squad in all my haphazard sonic advanced style glory. >8DCoconuts obviously I based off of the picture that I saw, for Scratch I somewhat based his redesign around the Babylon Rogues, but Grounder was honestly the hardest since there wasn't much I could go off of. I kinda based his look on a mix between his Mean Bean Machine mugshot and his comic book design, along with throwing some extra details in. Honestly I think he came out fitting in the least among the three but I did the best that I could with it.~ >XDDD
I still prefer drawing these guys in the regular style that I do, but nevertheless this was really fun and I may very well draw them like this again later in the future.
Also I did just text for the watermark because my usual watermark seemed like it got in the way.
Also this is my first picture done ENTIRELY in Photoshop CS5, all line art included.

There is something about your Scratch makes him look a lot how I would imagine him as when he grew older.Β
It is strange...these guys have grown on me quite a bit. They still don't go over Decoe and Bocoe and Bokkun, and not even close to Sleet and Dingo...but they have grown on me.

These guys were the first bumbling minions I was ever fond of (as well as the first robotic minion duo that started robotnik's minion trend in the shows- and even the games now) so they mean quite a bit for me :,P

I've always kept my fingers crossed that they could one day make a cameo of some sort. Any allusion to the older cartoons would be pretty cool. Kinda like with the references in Sonic Spin Ball or Mean Bean Machine, even if they aren't main series titles xD

Well...it isn't much, but I have...and will...write stories with them under one roof. And no, not like those horrible written fan fictions that give us writers a bad name. ;-;
Mean Beam Machine...that is a REALLY hard game!! (at least the version I have. Game Gear, I believe. I play on my 3DS, though, through Virtual Console. But man is it HARD!)

From friends sure, but it's an incredibly new thing to me still on the occasion that I suddenly get 10 comments from different people if I just recently uploaded something *o* Don't think in the SLIGHTEST that you're any worse off just from not getting feedback from folks. It's taken over 5 years just for me to get a comment or two on a daily basis x,D The same will happen for you in time. You just have to keep at what it is that you love to do and then others will find their way to you :>
And yes it's ridICULOUSLY hard, I've never figured out quite how to make those darn chains. Furthest I've gotten was to stage 7 on easy mode :,P
however I'm surprisingly good at Tetris, which is in a similar genre of falling block puzzles x,D

Well...I get lots of feedback on Fan Fiction...that is what keeps me going. I am much better with words than with a picture, anyways, and I find DA isn't really the best place for Fan Fiction, sadly.
