While m' happy that ye n' other people like it- I still think it's incredibly haphazard and mediocre compared to other things that I've done. xDDD Even the few new digital paintings I still like IMMENSELY better than this. So it's not a lie- cause I still think it's crap.

I just used Corel Painter, it came with my Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet. KD

I prefer SAI though, and I have seen some paintings done with it and they are really good, for example I think [link] deviations count as paintings, wan

I DON'T THINK IT'S CRAP!!! It's BEAUTIFUL! 8D I LOOOOOVE the colors, especially the sky, and the moon. The textures on the ground and tree are so nice! I also love the shading on Vivian.~ Oh it's so nice, why do you say that?! *hugs*

Even in pictures m' proud of the more I look at m' the more mistakes I find and the more ;aolskndf I feel about em'. xDDD Plus I made vivi's tale fatter than it was supposed to be n' I couldn't get rid of the guidlines on her like I wanted n' there's white glowing edges on everything cause I was too afraid to try blending it cause the more I stare at the blending on the sky the more jagged it all looks and-
Despite my brother liking my art at the same time he's pointed out and put down so many faults n' mistakes I've made on stuff that I can't help but do it to m'self even when he's not. xB

It's good that you recognize the flaws and think about ways to improve them because all artists should always strive to better themselves in some manner, but don't be overly-critical on yourself, especially if this is not a regular thing. You're experimenting and trying new things, and it's okay to make mistakes, but don't be harsh. It's not a terrible painting by any means. X3

Sometimes I can't help it- even if it is new at the same time I feel like I've seen enough of tutorials and such to be able to do some new things with a bit of experience coming in at the same time. xDD I guess since me brother's been so excessively critical to things despite him liking them I can't help but do the same whether it's actually a good piece of work or not.
It isn't THAT bad I guess- but I'm just so a;osjdnfjkas about it still xDDDDDDDDD I mean since there isn't any layers I ended up working from the middle to the back to the front and have no clue about half of what I did anymore. xB

Corel's probably a little bit of a harder program because of all the tools they give you and the lack of blending capabilities and layering. If you'd be up for trying a digital painting again, Photoshop has some wonderful ways to tweak it the way you like. I found a new love in the opacity settings on my brush especially. Maybe it's just a simple program change that can help.

I might like to try it in Photoshop more, especially considering how much more used to it's interface I am. xDDD I would like to try it again sometime- if I ever come up with something better to paint. KD
