Despite being used to a different Joker, Jared Leto's Joker was one I definitely really liked; plus the fact he wasn't too bad looking in this interpretation really helps lmao

I don't consider his screen time with Harley to generalize he's only mushy-gushy around her, we only saw a couple scenes where he wanted to get his toy back. It showed he had some attachment, BUT it can really be up to anyone's imagination what's going on haha

I suppose they remade/cut some shots out because, even though the die-hard DC fans all know he's an abusive manipulative jerk, the people who don't pay attention to DC or it's stories at all will probably get a bit uncomfortable and have a bad opinion on the movie if they see abuse against a lovestruck girl; even moreso when instead of leaving him right away, she keeps crawling back like a lost puppy and blaming herself. ;-; But I dunno..

Overall, I thought SS's Joker was really cool in terms of character development. c: And still psychotic; I loved his goons.. Especially that panda one!

I love this version honestly

And also TBH him not being so abusive towards Harl was refreshing

I'm a bit iffy on the whole thing still, because it was.. Well, it wasn't the Joker I was used to.
The whole cuddly bunny Joker thing was just weird to me lol. But they did reshoot more than 50%
of the movie to cut all of the abusive scenes out. The ones that I watched them shoot in Toronto
were completely removed and that made me sad. I'm entirely against abusive relationships, it just didn't seem..
Joker-y. I liked the original ending better where Harley said no to him and stayed with her friends instead.
I like her more as an independent character or when she was with Deadshot in Assault on Arkham. I like
female characters who've been through abuse to be more of 'don't need a man' attitude, but that's just me!
That's just my opinion as a long time DC supernerd(Mountains of comics and raised off of animated series), I won't judge anyone
with different opinions. ^^ It's ok to debate!
