Aaaannd my last Inktober piece! A fairly early prompt: Son of the Forest for #sonsofcamilla! This is my character Karik Naumov. This is for an AU where he’s the heir of a noble Russian family. He’s like, fortieth in line for the Russian throne according to his pedigree, but his father’s working on changing that....in any event, Karik’s true place is in the forest, where he goes on adventures and explores the beauty of Russia!
For this I used watercolor and colored pencil interchangeably. This paper was absolutely not meant for watercolor, as I very quickly found out.
