*COUGH* Okay, let me explain this. Post-Secret Armistice, Italy was picking up the pieces in the Northern territory from when German soldiers tore it apart, burning the countryside and slaughtering Italian citizens. American troops came along and helped them put everything back together, so this is a stupid, stupid picture of when Alfred (having made stale noodles) sits with Feliciano and kinda nurses him back to health.
...I think this pairing is really cute. They're both very touchy-feely and would probably get along really well (As canonically, their soldiers did) after Italy switched sides to join the Allies. Feliciano would also be recovering from Ludwig, and probably develop some sort of hero-worshipping, adoring, clingy crush on Alfred.
WHY ARE THEY SO PRECIOUS. >w<
I can't see them actually being a pairing-pairing...more like awesome fuckbuddies who are super-cute, since I ship GermanyxItaly and RussiaxAmerica. But that's cool, since Russia and America hated each others' guts during this time period. 8D

I've never really shipped Feli with much of anyone... I mostly glanced at this because I've had an (unexplained) obsession with America/Romano recently for no reason I can figure. xD
But Feli is kjdhfjkasdf adorable. And I can't not ship something that had a historical explanation.
...Aside from a few times. But I don't think my teacher helped in this aspect. It's just so hard to ship Germany and Feli without it just being friendship because of that man. "And by that point, Italy was pretty high on Germany's 'dead to me' list." ...hurk.

HISTORY MAKES MY SHIPS BETTER. IT'S REALLY AWESOME. 8D It's the only way I can justify them, at any rate.
Italy was only really 'dead' to Germany when they kicked out Mussolini and reinstated their old king, and signed the armistice with America. Up until then, they'd actually been indescribably useful. The only reason Italy has a bad rep for WWII is because of one loss against the British in North Africa, and the publicists went crazy over it, making them out to be useless. Italian troops rivaled German troops, to the extent where they actually excelled past their German counterparts. They were just ill-equipped with weapons and technology. D8 The Italians far outstripped the Germans in battle, and the Germans would often poke fun at them out of their own arrogance or to cover up their own mistakes and blunders (i.e, Rommel publishing his book on tank warfare before the war was over, and Patton got a hold of it, translated it, and learned his every moved and kicked his ass. XD).
...wow sorry, that turned into a rant. I JUST GET SO FIRED UP ABOUT THIS STUFF. 8D *flails a little*

As to why I don't draw men with women, I can't really see why that would be anyone's business other than my own. In the case of Hetalia, it may come from the fact that I don't really like any of the female characters enough to draw them. *shrug*
I don't "have something out" for gay guys. I'm not even sure that's a real expression. It would imply that I've got some sort of vendetta against them, which is counterintuitive since I draw them.
Either way, they're two men, they really like each other, and if they want to show that mutual like by cuddling, then MORE POWER TO 'EM.

Yes. On September 3, 1943, the new Italian government that had ousted Mussolini made secret plans to defect from German alliance and join the Allies. The German government caught wind of this, though, and the German troops stationed in Italy (The majority being in the Northern half) were ordered to burn the countryside and kill any Italian soldiers who weren't on their side.
