Kakarot AU(Goku AU): Kakarot is the youngest son of Bardock and the younger brother to Raditz. When he was born he had done something that no other child had done before. He was deemed as useless due to his power level being at one. It was a record, really, considering that the weakest level of power recorded was a five. Due to this, Kakarot was shipped off to a planet full of inhabitants whose levels were at least 3-5. If Kakarot didn't survive, then he was not meant to be apart of the Saiyan Race.

Surprisingly enough, not only did Kakarot survive, but he had become a part of the world he had been sent to. Despite his destiny, which had been relayed over and over to him within his space pod, he was unable to harm a single inhabitant on the planet. He was only a baby.

Gohan, the man who would take in the Saiyan baby, had a difficult child raising Kakarot due to his violent nature and abnormal human strength. It was a trying task, and at times it didn't seem worth it, but Gohan took care of Kakarot to the best of his abilities, even giving the child the name 'Goku'.

As Kakarot grew older he began to realize that he had a choice in what his destiny was. An Earthling had taken care of him and accepted him into his life. He wasn't treated like a slave but as a person. He couldn't ask for a better life, especially when he was learning to do what he would later find out he did best; fight.

Gohan had been a martial arts master who trained with a man name Roshi. The two would compete in tournaments which would usually boil down to the two of them in the finals. Kakarot trained with them along with a human child named Krillin. The two didn't exactly become fast friends due to Krillin's inconsiderate questions about his tail which caused the Saiyan child to hide his extra appendage. Eventually, with the death of Gohan, the two worked together and became quick friends, meeting new friends like Bulma, Yamcha and Puar, along the way. The meeting of those three prompted the search for the dragon balls, which lead to new friends being formed and promises being made specifically to the Ox-King and his daughter, Chi-Chi. (The story is pretty much the same as Dragon Ball from here on out.)

Going by the name Goku now, the Saiyan Warrior made a family of his own with the Earth Woman named Chi-Chi. Though he didn't know it, fornicating with 'Aliens' was acceptable as long as they were properly dealt with afterward.
While Visiting friends, Goku, his wife Chi-Chi, and their six year old son Gohan, named after the man who had raised Goku, were met with an unexpected surprise; the arrival of Goku's older brother which sparked some controversy which ultimately left Goku to return him though, unknown to him, his wife Chi-Chi was prego with their second son, Goten.

Goku's personality is laid back, calm, and is a dreamer due to his stay on Earth. He's a bit of a goofball, and is an odd Saiyan to say the least. He is also honest to a near fault which is why he later on replaces Raditz as the third member of Prince Vegeta's running crew.
