Yup! Off the top of my head, I think the houndours are on the route between Veilstone city (the one with the fighting type gym) and the ocean. Probably Valor lakefront too, which is right next to that.

Man I seriously need to start playing again, I kinda stopped once school became more intense. I'm still at the same gym I was when you and I talked last haha.

I always get really excited about playing through all the gyms right up until I have to start worrying about the E4, then I kind of get a block. I'm hoping that seeing to my pokemon's stats early on in the game next time will make it easier and more fun.

Haha I need to learn more about stats. As is I simply level my pokemon until they're beasts and then I battle the gyms.

My theory is that they've started making the games more and more targeted towards the super-serious competitive battlers (aka fanboys and girls) so it's actually kind of difficult to just play the game with normal randomly caught pokemon. Either that or I'm just the suckiest battler there's ever been. I level my pokes up and give them a good move set and know my type match-ups but I still have a heck of a time beating, like, the battle tower etc.

The battle tower is hard though, most people have difficulty... Ok, well most "normal" people, like us!

Quite. Although I'll admit I personally like the lower fat Doom substitute, Foom, but that's probably because I grew up with it. It's pretty good but there's still nothing like original Doom for destroying civilizations etc.
