Unce apon a time there was a big village. About 200 people lived there together with their animals. One of these was a young wolf. He lived together with the humans in peace. One villager once found him alone in a cold winter night. The villagers called him Meara which meant "The night sky" in their language. They chose this name due to his dark fur. Every person in the village knew the young wolf and everybody liked him. Meara was very thankful that the humans saved his live and he did everything to show them.
One day a deamon wandered across the land. The darkness of his existence cursed everything his shadow touched. Many villagers got sick and some even died. Some man went on a journey to find a cure.
One week after they left a huge storm spread over the land.
For the next four weeks the land was filled with darkness and sorrows. The people were afraid that the man who went on the journey wouldn't be able to find back home. But every day at noon and midnight Meara climbed at the highest hill and called out for them. After three more weaks Meara lost his voice. He wanted to go and search for his friends but he was too afraid that he also would get lost in the darkness. And he had to protect the city.
So he did the only thing left. He went out to face the demon himself. But that was not easy. The demon surrounded himself with the same darkness thet cursed the land and caused the illness. But Meara was ready risk his life. Because without the humans, his friends, he wouldn't even have this life. As he entered the darkness he felt his life fade away. And as he arrived the point of no return he knew that he will die before he reaches the demon. But he went on.
As the demon noticed the intruder it was allready too late.
The loyalty to his friends was stronger than the curse of the demon. Amazed by the strength of this young wolf the demon decided to move on. Because if this wolf was able to survive such an high amount of darkness he wouldn't stand a chance against him in combat.
As he returned to the village he was more dead than alive. He died at the same night but it was a clear night filled with thousands of stars.
Many years later when a new infection plagued the village, some people came to Mearas grave and prayed for the sick people. Their prayers was so loud and filled with so much pain and sorrow that Djascii herself decided to bring back Meara.
He returned as the god of the stars to guide those who feel lost and alone. His appearance gave the people the strenght they needed to survive. But everybody knows that a story that starts with, once upon a time, is never true.

Meara is the youngest of all gods.
He loves the humans more than the others.
He is also the sybol of confidence and hope which is a reason why he often appears in art.
