The only reason I'm not completely dreading this is because Lasseter legitimately wants to do it and isn't just making it for the money, but I still think this is unnecessary. I'm glad Wreck-It-Ralph is getting a sequel because I actually think that can work. Frozen 2... I just hope to god it doesn't go down the route of the direct-to-video sequels. After all, Lasseter canned all future productions of those for a reason.

There is nothing quite as wonderful as money, there is nothing quite as beautiful as cash...

The announcement for Frozen 2 happened too soon.... Frozen is pretty much bulletproof at this point, and we can't stop it util Disney does something about it.

I don't think Disney is that stupid to not release a sequel in theaters. Beside, take a lot at the past direct to video/dvd sequels, a lot of these sequels get some mixed feelings on the films. For example, the Aladdin and Lion King sequels are highly praised as the best sequels. While films like 101 Dalmatians 2, Hunchback 2, Fox and the Hound 2, and many more are either mixed, or just hated by all. Sure, the Rescuers Down under tried, but it shows why Disney did sequels for direct to video/dvd instead of theaters.

Then again, "The Rescuers Down Under" was released under Walt Disney Animation Studios. Others released under the main company were "The Three Caballeros, Fantasia 2000 & Whinne The Pooh (2011)." Let's hope that "Frozen 2 & others are released under the main comany.
